Surfing into August?

Is summer really two thirds over? We took a day trip today to Cape Cod for surfing lessons! Neither of us had surfed before so we couldn't pass up the opportunity to join several of my favorite coworkers and their partners/friends! It was a perfect day weather wise, and the wetsuits were exciting, but hardly necessary since we all went swimming as soon as the lesson was over to cool off. The beach is basically as far east as you can get in Massachusetts and the parking lot was about 150 feet above the ocean, both giving it the feeling of an exotic destination. What better place to learn to surf? And learn we did; Z and I were surprisingly good at it and we had enough fun to start planning our return visit! Oh and there were seals and they were very close...and where seals are, sharks are (Just search Cape Cod Great White shark sightings and you'll see that the was just another sighting a day ago)...but our instructor insisted that the sharks prefer the wealthier private beaches south of where we were;)
