This week we celebrated a lot of birth events: the news of the arrival of my very first nephew, Burke, came from Iowa just minutes before the world-record-setting runner started on the Boston Marathon route! I think that's a good omen for the little guy;) We also wished Zannah's dad a happy birthday over the phone, and since then have been reminiscing of our road trip to VA last year at this time (oh, the warm sun, vibrant green grass, and blooming apple trees). We also celebrated a little treasure named Banjo that we found on that trip and brought home with us. Since the vets only guess his birthday, we consider his adoption day to be more meaningful, for all of us.
These photos are from a hike two weeks ago, where I made Banjo sit still and pose, so he protested with a big wet kiss from my chin to my eye.
I think he has a pretty great life with us. Since March we've been hiking almost every weekend, mostly day hikes around Boston, because we still have so much that we want to explore, but soon enough the farm will become too exhausting for such lavish day trips!
He still has the energy and enthusiasm of a puppy!
beautiful pics. so glad to see the may day cafe shirt as part of them!
