Doublehead Mountain, NH

Last weekend we celebrated Z's birthday with a "winter"
weekend in the White Mountains!
Travis and Tam hauled up snowboards and had a sweet ride down.

Our rustic cabin on the top of Doublehead Mt.

One of the best views of the Presidential Range in the White Mts.
Banjo agrees, this place is pretty sweet.

Moose tracks!
Kael hauled up our sled full of wood for the cabin
stove, which enabled us to warm the cabin and make
chili, cornbread, and fresh chocolate chip cookies!
Seriously luxurious camping.

View of Mt. Washington from our cabin
Blue skies all weekend
Temps hit 85 at the bottom of the mountain so we probably
enjoyed the last week of snow for the year.  I stripped down
to a sports bra, shorts, and snowshoes it was so warm!
The first and only trek this year with our new snowshoes!
Yes, we sledded down the mountain.
This summer we'll hike to the top of Mt. Washington, no big thing.
